In his right hand (so he must be left-handed), he is armed with a shield for protection. ![]() In the center of the sword is a small, yellow gem. The handle is green and purple striped, with a small triangular design on the end. The hilt itself is a bluish-purple and is designed sort of like bat wings. The weapon's blade lengthens slightly near the front of the hilt. If Link is not busy steering his bike on a track in Mario Kart 8, then he will always be brandishing a heavy, sharp, and especially deadly, legendary blade called the Master Sword. Link is too good of a fighter to need a helmet, so instead, he wears a long hat that falls over his shoulders. His ears are pointed, and his long, flowing, blonde hair falls over his forehead and his ears. Link always has a determined look on his face. His black gloves are cut off at the fingers, and his shirt is slightly torn at the collar. Link is equipped with an arm guard for when shooting a bow and arrow, although he does not usually have one. He has brown, leather boots with straps around the tops and ankles. Even though he just races karts in Mario Kart 8, he still is adorned in his fighter gear.
